The club caters for runners of all levels of fitness and ability and we hope you enjoy your runs with us.

We meet each Sunday morning at Justin’s Park, Burleigh Heads for a 6.30 am start, except for away runs as nominated on the calendar.

In addition, unofficial training runs are organised during the week, with a regular group meeting on Saturday mornings in Burleigh Heads for longer runs. Regular post-run breakfasts are also a very pleasant feature of our Sunday Calendar.

For those keen to get a bit of training in on the quality trails of Lamington National Park’s rainforest, there will be a social run on rarely used sections of the Great Walk on Saturday 28 August organised by TRAQ the trailrunning association of Qld.

Carparking will be at the Numinbah School of Arts Hall on the Numinbah-Murwillambah Rd. Bus drop-off will be provided to the valley below the Information Centre just before Binna Burra, and runners will finish back at their cars in the Numinbah Valley. The course includes sections of rainforest and close-up views of the exposed volcanic cone at Egg Rock.

The direct option is about 8km and mostly downhill, with longer out-and-back options of 20km and 24km to add other dramatic lookout points. This social run will also serve as a trial to gauge interest in a future race along the route.

The bus will depart from Numinbah hall at 8am on Saturday 28 August. This run is mostly gently downhill, and a bus drop which avoids the long drive up and back to Binna Burra is a great way to run this section of the trail, so please join us. 20 places only; cost is $26 to cover the bus and hall hire. Cheers, Greg

Hi guys, my partner Karen and I are new to the coast having recently arrived from England. We were in a running club back there and we’re looking to find a new club here. Can you tell us what sort of distances you do on a Sunday morning and do you cater for all levels. Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Graham, welcome to the beautiful Gold Coast. We usually have a few distances on a Sunday, anything from 5km to 12km, with lots of different abilities. We also have various runs during the week that you may be interested in. The best thing is to come along to one of our Sunday runs and join in. This Sunday is Easter Sunday but we are still having our normal run…6:30am at Justins Park, cnr The Esplanade and Gold Coast Highway, Burleigh Heads. The following week is an 8km time trial at Pizzey Park, Burleigh Waters. Our blog and Facebook page usually have the most up-to-date information.
We look forward to meeting you!

That’s fantastic, thanks so much for getting back to me. Providing I am not working (just got a job today) myself and my partner will be there. Looking forward to meeting you all.
